In 2002 the Street Sedan Racing
Association of Australia
launched a class of racing known
as Combined Touring Cars, a
series combining the production
car categories of Street Sedans
(essentially Group 3E in the
CAMS manual) and Saloon Cars
(Group 3K).
This class provides close action
for all makes of vehicle and for
competitors on all budgets. It
is the perfect place to develop
race craft for the up and coming
racing car driver. The vehicle
classification system promotes
close racing all the way down
through the field.
The success of Combined Touring
Cars in 2002 has enabled the
category to be granted NSW State
Championship status in 2003, a
full 6 round championship
competing at Oran Park, Eastern
Creek and Wakefield Park.
As well as the state
championship rounds, other
exciting events are held during
the year.
